There's ALWAYS these kind of people on deviantart, who make an anti-stamp or an anti-group about a fandom/comic/anime/series/whatever, then downright INSULT the thing in the most rude way possible, put every kind of swear word in their rant, call the fandom dumb, tell them to stop drawing fanart, tell them to stop liking it etc. (Example: "I hate ~Insert thing here~! It's stupid horse shit, it has the worst fandom EVAR, and it's everywhere! Stop flooding my inbox and the front page with this shit! Get this fucking abomination outta my face!)

....and then they are surprised that people will get mad! Then they say stuff like "Bawww, I get attacked for my opinion! Be more tolerant, pplz! Bawwws!"... Seriously? :iconkiddingmeplz:

It's not your opinion, it's your attitude! You insulted something and it's fandom and told people what to do! What do you expect? You insult something, people get mad and you get insulted back. It's always been like this! Always!

For you people, I think I'll tell you how to not get attacked. Here's a little help:

No swear words, insults or attacking!

Swear words and insults are for attacking something/someone! If you insult something that others love, (who would have thought of it), people will get mad. You'd also hate seeing your fandom, insulted like shit, right? You can dislike something, without attacking it, so be polite and calm. Don't make extremely long rants of how something sucks, and don't call the entire fandom dumb. And most importantly, don't tell them what to do! They are allowed to make fanart, wether you want or not. I mean, the fandoms you are into are allowed to make fanart, but the ones you're not into not? I can see a double standard, here!

No immature name-calling!

Stuff like , for example, calling Kingdom Hearts "Kingdom Farts" or Homestuck "Homosuck" just worsens the situation and makes you look like a butthurt five-years-old! I mean, seriously? Even kindergarteners behave better than this! Also, you wouldn't like seeing something you love, beeing insulted like this, hm?

No using of the words "Anti" or "Hate"!

These words have a very long, and negative past. Also, Hating something or simply disliking something are two different things! If you HATE something, you want to see it burn in hell, kick it from the planet into the sun, not caring about what others are thinking or their feelings, dumping your friends for simply liking it etc. DISLIKE means, you don't like it, but you don't really care about said thing, you don't care if your friends like it, and tolerate that people like it. This is what most people who use this word mean... So please... use "dislike". "Hate" is a pretty harsh word... And if you really hate a fandom, for beeing popular and you not beeing into it... Go, get a psychiatrist. You need help.

Also, "Anti." "Anti" means "Beeing agains something" or "beeing the oppossite of something". Not "dislike". "Beeing against something" means pretty much that you really don't like it if other people like it, or if you simply SEE IT. Also, how can someone "be against" an Anime/Comic/Manga/book? I always asked that to myself. You only actually can be against ~an oppinion~, ~a message~ that something wants to tell, or ~an action that someone does~. Ships belong to opinions, so you can be against them... but actually to the Not-so-important opinions, if you ask me, so I would prefer not seeing the word "Anti". It's just shipping, something ment for FUN. Don't spoil other people's fun, please.

And heavens forbid, No Anti-groups or stamps, please, if possible.

Everytime a thing gains popularity, these just seem to spread! The less popular things don't have any. I mean... I don't really see their purpoise! Do you really feel so oppressed by the fans that you feel like to wear your dislike like a medal? As far as I know, dA-groups are supposed to be around positive feelings and are NOT supposed to be a hate-festival! Same with stamps What's the point of this, anyway? "Oh, oh, look at me, I dislike something! I am special! "?...

If you dislike something... please... don't shout it out loud and wait till SOMEONE ASKS YOU, until you tell them. And don't waste your time on things you dislike, and spend your time and positive feelings on things you like! I mean, you also don't walk around in the supermarked, shouting "I hate chocolate! I hate vegetables!" at the people who like them, or greet people like "Hi my name is herpderpderp and I hate something." ? And now, don't say things like this "But the fans are rubbing their love in my face!"-shit. They're FANS. If you love something, you want to show your love to the world. Many people are just so happy to have something, that they want to tell others. Example: You got your first date and you are happy like frick! I am sure you would tell your friends about this, right? It has always been like this! Basic human feelings!

With all this advise, you really shouldn't have any people, beeing angry at you... Except the small amount of vocal fantards that are in every fandom... but you should be able to ignore them.

EDIT: I forgot something to add. Please. Don't use the "Fandom stole my friend" excuse. No. The fandom didn't steal your friend. No, the fandom didn't make your friend leave you. If they really WERE your friends, they would've stayed your friends, even when you are not into their fandom! If they didn't leave you for THIS thing, they would have left you for something else. It's not the fandoms fault. You just have had a shitty friend :/

Edit2: Also, writing things like "I hope ~insert fandom dies~ soon." Is just rude, and egoistic. This is also inacceptable, kay?

this is so true! I`m fine with constructive criticism, but I hate when people are so rude about it.
